The House of Blue Leaves
Show Synopsis
Fantasy and reality collide in John Guare’s play, “The House of Blue Leaves.” The result is broad, sometimes absurd humor pitted against the tragic circumstances of unfulfilled lives.
It’s 1965 and the Pope is coming to New York City to deliver a message of peace. This brings a host of unlikely characters together in Artie Shaughnessy’s rooftop apartment in Sunnyside, Queens.
