  • What are the 39 Steps??

    May 7th 2012

Bored with his aimless life, Richard Hannay decides to go to the theatre. While there he meets a mysterious woman named Annabella Schmidt who turns out to be a secret agent trying to save England from a mysterious foreign power. When she is murdered in his apartment, he finds himself accused and escapes to Scotland in hopes of completing her mission. On the train he meets two salesmen and a beautiful blonde named Pamela, then barely escapes the police. As they chase him across the moors, he is assisted by a farmer’s wife, reconnected with the same icy blond, hidden in an out of the way hotel, and finally forced to outsmart a team of spies in order to save England.

Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fast-paced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theater! WCLOC closes its season with this uproarious comedy, opening on June 1st. .. or does it??

  • You Better Watch Out: Assassins Is Coming to Town!

    Nov 21st 2011

Be thankful this year for fascinating and thought-provoking theater. WCLOC is proud to present its production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman’s powerful Assassins. This most American and controversial of musicals lays bare the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate the President of the United States, in an historical “revusical” that explores the dark side of the American experience. From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, Sondheim and Weidman bend the rules of time and space, taking you on a nightmarish rollercoaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and in an intense final scene inspire each other to harrowing acts in the name of the American Dream.

Visit the Assassins page for more information on the cast and production team. Order tickets here!

    Production Dates & Times

    Friday nights – December 2nd, 9th, and 16th – 8:00 pm

    Sunday afternoons – December 4th, 11th, and 18th – 2:00 pm
